WL “Bill” ZouGarner

Founder of EnergyGuided, Inc

WL “Bill” ZouGarner Founder of EnergyGuided, Inc and all of its subsidiaries is a trailblazing entrepreneur who has left an indelible mark on the energy industry and management consulting landscape. In 1974, he established the Petroleum Division of W.L. Garner Inc., a pioneering venture that initially focused on executive search services for drilling engineering and down-hole drilling technology. Bill’s expertise and vision quickly propelled the firm to new heights, expanding its services to become the top retained executive search firm for major independent oil and gas companies in exploration, production, and development. His deep understanding of the industry and ability to identify top talent made W.L. Garner Inc. a leading name in retained executive search within the Energy Industry and Energy Banking sectors.

With a keen eye for emerging opportunities, Bill diversified his business interests in the early 1980s, venturing into capital formation and assisting clients in raising over $100 million for drilling programs. His NASD broker-dealer played a pivotal role in securing initial capital for the launch of groundbreaking horizontal drilling technology in 1983-1984.

His entrepreneurial spirit extended beyond the energy sector. In the mid-1980s, he founded a commercial real estate company focused on acquiring and syndicating income-producing properties, specializing in “sale-lease-back of financial institutions owned properties further diversifying his portfolio.

BEI quickly became a market leader and was acquired by Hawker Siddeley Corp in 1995, eventually becoming TLC, the largest LASIK surgery company in the nation.

Driven by a passion for healthcare innovation, Bill founded ScienceBased Health (SBH) in 1996, a company dedicated to empowering medical professionals with nutritional medicine and promoting disease prevention. SBH’s flagship product, MacularRX, gained widespread recognition for its ability to help patients regain vision.

After the successful sale of SBH, he established River-Group in 2003, a company that partnered with physicians to acquire and develop medical office buildings, diagnostic imaging centers, and sleep centers. River-Group’s niche was in the syndication of these facilities, which were jointly owned by their physician tenants.

In 2013, his entrepreneurial journey took a new turn with the formation of Entrepreneur-Team.
